5 CBD Recipes To Fill Your Cup (Or Bowl) With Calm

Cooking with CBD is a great way to get your daily dose. CBD oil drops make it incredibly easy to infuse your food and drinks with CBD. And, consuming food with CBD can improve the absorption of the cannabinoids.(2)

Spending time in the kitchen can be a calming experience in itself. It’s a creative outlet, and you’re often on your own, giving you time to reflect. Cooking and baking are even recognized as therapeutic by psychologists and psychiatrists.(3)

CBD + cooking = a recipe for calm, better sleep, and relaxation.

Each of these five recipes include either CBD oil drops or water-soluble CBD tincture, plus other nourishing ingredients. They also happen to be vegan CBD recipes. Consider them mini self-care rituals in food form.

We recommend choosing high-quality CBD products made with nanotechnology, which makes it more effective. Because when it comes to what you put into your body, only the best will do.

For best practices about cooking and baking with CBD, head over to our article on the topic calledHow To Bake & Cook With CBD According To Science.

CBD Golden Milk Tea

Turmeric is quite the super food, best known for its curcumin content. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties, among other beneficial properties.

Golden milk is a stovetop tea that gives you a significant amount of turmeric, plus other spices — such as black pepper — which may help improve the uptake of curcumin. Adding CBD to the elixir builds on the benefits of turmeric and curcumin.

This golden milk recipe injects more flavor with vanilla CBD oil. Water-soluble CBD is often recommended in drinks, but in this case, the oil is a good thing because it provides more fat content. Turmeric is fat-soluble.

  • 1 ½ cups light coconut milk or your favorite non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Generous pinch of ground ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Maple syrup or honey to taste
  • 1 dropperful Pure Craft Nano CBD Broad-Spectrum Oil - Vanilla

  1. Add the milk and spices to a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk frequently as the mixture warms. When it’s consistently simmering, pour it into a large mug. Go for one you can wrap your hands around as you savor the flavor and aroma.
  3. Allow the golden milk to cool for a minute or two, then add the CBD oil. Mix it in with a spoon, then take a sip. Add honey or maple syrup as desired.
  4. Drink immediately.

Herbal CBD Sleep Tonic

Give your evening wind-down a nudge toward sleepyville with this chamomile-peppermint CBD tea. The recommended CBD contains melatonin, your body’s natural sleep hormone, for extra sleep support.

  1. Place the teabag in the mug and pour the boiling water over. Cover the mug with a plate and let it steep for ten minutes.
  2. Add the CBD drops, then the splash of milk.
  3. Savor each sip.

Comforting Vanilla & Pear CBD Oatmeal

Is there anything better than a warm, creamy bowl of oats? With the addition of pear, cozy spices, and vanilla-flavored CBD oil, this oatmeal will warm your belly and your soul.

This recipe is for one, but you can easily double, triple, or quadruple it to serve others.

  1. Heat the milk or water and salt in a small pot until it reaches a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the oats, half of the diced pear, and spices. Simmer for about five minutes or until the oats are cooked.
  3. Transfer the oats to a bowl. Top with the pear, walnuts, and CBD.
  4. Enjoy immediately.

Cacao & Tart Cherry CBD Bliss Balls

These bliss balls are a nourishing and satisfying snack you can enjoy anytime.

They contain cacao, which is loaded with flavonoids that support heart health, help to balance blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and more. CBD also contains flavonoids. Together, these ingredients are a powerhouse of wellness support.

You can swap out the dried tart cherries for another dried fruit such as raisins or apricots. But we recommend adding the tart cherries whenever you can for the sleep-supporting properties.(4)

This recipe makes 14 bliss balls. Two bliss balls equal one serving. Store them in a sealed container, labeled to specify the CBD contents.

  1. Pulse the almonds in a food processor until the almonds are finely ground, but don’t go so far that you make almond butter.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and pulse until the mixture forms a dense dough. It should hold together when you pinch it between your fingers.
  3. Scoop out one tablespoon of the dough at a time and roll it into a ball. Place it on a plate or storage container. If you don’t want to absorb the CBD at this time, wear gloves.
  4. You can eat them right away, but an hour or two of refrigeration gives them a lovely chew.

CBD-Infused Nuts & Seeds Dip

Sometimes you just need a classic snack, like nut butter and apples, or peanut butter on toast. This super-simple dip gives you exactly that, plus a little extra.

Use this as you would your favorite nut butter.

This makes one serving. But, if you have leftovers, cover and label the container “CBD dip” so you don’t forget about the CBD inside.

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in your favorite dipping vessel. That’s it!
  2. Get dipping!
