CBD Recipes For Movie Night At Home

If Hollywood can remake the classics, we say why not remix your movie snacks? Adding CBD to your favorite refreshments is a great way to do just that.

These four CBD snack recipes have the nostalgia of childhood with surprises reminiscent of the best plot twists. You’ll be surprised how simple it is to add cannabinoids with flavored CBD drops.

It can be easy to lose track of how much you’ve snacked on when you’re engrossed in a film, so we pre-measured the CBD dosage per serving for you. Feel free to scale it up or down depending on your tolerance and how many snacks you plan on eating.

And yes — these recipes can be made sans CBD for kids and folks who don’t want to indulge. Each recipe can also be made vegan with the recommended vegan CBD drops and directed tweaks. Because no one should be left out of the delicious fun!

Lights! Camera! Let’s Get Cooking With CBD Oil!

Before you go elbow-deep in the popcorn bowl, let’s fast-forward through some quick tips for cooking with CBD oil.

  • Sharing with friends or family? Awesome! Just make sure they know your snacks are CBD-ified.
  • Keep your CBD snacks away from kids and pets.
  • CBD’s properties can diminish from exposure to extreme temperatures, light, and air. So seal that bottle up tight when you aren’t using it.
  • Label any leftovers with deets about the CBD contents.

Now, cue up the flicks and let’s get snacking!

Tropical CBD Graveyard Mocktail

Did you ever go down the movie theater soda fountain as a kid, filling your paper cup with a little bit of each soda? That’s what they call a Graveyard! Recreate it with this tropical CBD mocktail.

If the idea of a sugar rush has you shaking in your loungewear, don’t worry — this version has far less sugar than the original. It’s caffeine-free, too!

It definitely leans toward the fruit soda side, but with several ingredients, the Graveyard concept is the same. If you don’t have these exact fruit juices on hand, follow the Graveyard spirit and use what you have.

This recipe makes one 8oz-ish drink containing one half-dose of CBD.

  1. Fill a pint glass with ice cubes, then pour in the juices. Top with the club soda.
  2. Once the fizz settles, add the CBD tincture.
  3. Give it a stir, then start sipping!

Buttered Maple CBD Popcorn Topping

Just when you thought hot, buttery homemade popcorn couldn’t get any better, this CBD recipe walks into your life. It’s the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and unexpected.

Whether you use microwave, air-popped, or stovetop popcorn, this drizzle will leave you craving a sequel.

Wanna make it vegan? Use vegan butter or coconut oil instead of regular butter.

This recipe makes one serving of popcorn topping containing one half-dose of CBD.

  1. Place a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the butter or coconut oil, a pinch of salt, and maple syrup. Swirl it around the pan as the butter melts.
  3. Pour the maple butter mixture over the popcorn. Taste and adjust the salt to your liking.
  4. Drizzle on the vanilla CBD oil. Toss to combine. Enjoy!

CBD Cookie Dough Bites

Yes, you can make the best movie candy at home. And no, that award does not go to chocolate-covered raisins. We’re talking cookie dough bites!

There is a trick to making edible cookie dough safely, but it might not be what you’re thinking. Yes, this recipe does omit eggs. But the real danger is lurking in the flour, which can harbor bacteria. You’ll bake the flour to kill off those little beasties. Then you can indulge without worry!

Best part? You only need five ingredients — including the CBD. The CBD oil replaces vanilla extract, packing in flavor along with CBD goodness.

To make these cookie dough bites vegan, use plant-based butter and vegan chocolate chips.

This recipe makes four cookie dough bites of “regular” cookie size or 16 mini cookie dough bites. The entire recipe contains one serving of CBD.

  1. Sprinkle the flour on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F for five minutes.
  2. While the flour cools, add the butter and sugar to a small bowl. Beat the butter and sugar with a hand mixer or whisk for 2-4 minutes or until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and CBD oil. Mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. If you don’t want to absorb any CBD while you’re forming the cookie dough bites, put on some gloves. Then, use a tablespoon or teaspoon to scoop the desired amount. Roll each piece between your hands to form a ball. Place the cookie dough bites on a plate or baking sheet.
  6. Resist the temptation to eat these all right away and refrigerate them for at least an hour. Trust us — it’s worth the wait! The firmer texture they get when refrigerated is right on par with the boxed movie snack you know and love.
  7. Leftovers? Store them in a covered container in the refrigerator, labeled to specify the CBD inside.

CBD-Infused Citrus Herb Dip

Don’t think we forgot about you, salty and savory lovers! This dip is the perfect companion to chips and veggies, and it’s oh-so-simple. The citrus adds a fresh zing that elevates every bite.

It has a sour cream base, but you can take it to plant-based territory with a vegan sour cream substitute.

This recipe makes one serving of dip containing one half-dose of CBD.

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix to combine.
  • Start dipping!

And The Movie Snacks Award Goes To...CBD Oil

A few drops of flavored CBD oil can turn regular old movie snacks into the stars of your movie night. With vegan-friendly CBD oil, you can even make plant-based snacks.

Audition one or more of these CBD recipes the next time you’ve got a date with your couch and a cinematic adventure. You won’t want to leave a single one of these marquee delights on the cutting room floor!

And remember, if CBD is making a cameo appearance in your movie-time treats: Be sure to use the best quality CBD oil. Pure Craft offers premium CBD products — you’ll definitely want them to play a recurring role in your film fest fun!
